Accommodation and Travel
The conference will be held in Zurich. Participants travel to Basel on the Tuesday in buses booked by the conference organisers: they should not book accommodation in Basel.
Zurich offers approximately 250 hotels in all price categories, bed and breakfasts and youth hostels.
Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodation. There is no conference block booking.
Accommodation in outlying suburbs may offer the best deals, as Zurich is a small city with good public transport.
We strongly advise you to book your accommodation in Zürich as soon as possible! Budget rooms will be quickly booked out.
Zurich Airport
Zurich Airport is close to the city centre; trains travel every 5-10 minutes between the airport and Zurich main station. The trip takes approximately 10 minutes.
Public transport
The Swiss public transport system is extremely well-developed. Within the city of Zurich buses and trams depart at frequent intervals.
The trains of the SBB (Swiss Federal Rail) connect all centres of population within Switzerland and there are regular train connections from Zurich main station to cities in Germany, France and Italy.
