Practical Information
Registration
Registration will take place in the main building of the University of Zurich, KOL-F-102 (Kollegiengebäude), Rämistrasse 71.
The registration office is open on Sunday 9 August 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday 10 August from 8 a.m.
Conference Office
The conference office is located in room KOL-F-102, it will be open throughout the conference, except on Tuesday 11 August (Basel Day) and Thursday 13 August (Excursions). A printing facility with computers and internet-access is available in room KOL-F-103.
Coach Departures for Basel Day & Excursions
Coaches for the transfer to Basel on Tuesday 11 August and for the excursions (except the City Walk) on Thursday 13 August will depart from Karl-Schmid-Strasse (located between ETH and the University of Zurich). Please assemble for your excursion 15 minutes before departure time. You will receive a lunchbag and some additional information on boarding the bus.
Book Stalls
During the conference, a variety of publishing houses will present their publications in room KOL F-103, right next to the Conference Office. It will also be possible to order books from various publishers. The book stalls will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Venue
The conference will take place mainly at the University of Zurich, with Tuesday’s sessions at the University of Basel and excursions within Zurich and to other parts of eastern Switzerland on the Thursday.
Participants should book all their accommodation in Zurich; on the Tuesday we will travel together to Basel via coach and return to Zurich in the evening.
Our venue in Zurich is the Kollegiengebäude (Rämistrasse 71, building KOL), the centre of the university’s city campus, which this year celebrates its centennial. The sessions in Basel will be held in the Kollegienhaus.
